Club Information

The Ford 8 & 10 Sidevalve Club Inc. of South Australia was formed in 1981 by a small group of enthusiasts to promote the restoration and preservation of small & 10 HP Fords.This club caters for all vehicles powered by Ford engines with a basic 8 or 10 HP rating. The engines may be in Ford manufactured vehicles or specials. The engines may be modified but must use stock engine blocks as a starting point. Some examples of models from 1932 to 1960, such as the model Y, C, CX, 7W, and etc. Prefect, Anglia, Popular, all 100Es’ including vans and specials.

Our club colours are blue and white.

Some of the Clubs benefits are as follows:

• The club publishes a monthly magazine which is called the Second Gear Chatter, it includes the club’s future events and articles of interest from members
• Various club regalia, such as key rings, badges and window stickers are available for sale.
• Members have access to a library which is available at our club meetings, which is held every 3^rd Wednesday of the month at T Clubrooms Port Road, Hindmarsh at 8.pm
• Club runs are held once a month on the last Sunday of the month to various places of interest.
• There are other Ford 8 & 10 Sidevalve Clubs throughout Australia and so every two years a National Rally is held by one of the states to enjoy and encourage friendship within the small Ford ownership.

South Australian members have available to them Historic Registration, which means cheaper registration for their Historic Vehicle. There are certain requirements with this. Please feel free to contact us for more information.

Come and join us and enjoy the company of our club. You do not necessarily have to own a vehicle but just have some interest in them.

Membership is open to anyone who is interested in the Ford 8 or 10 HP sidevalve vehicle. Which entitles you to the services on the Club Information page.

Club financial year is from July 1^st to June 30^th. Reductions in membership fees are availabe if you join part way through the year.
